faded dreams i wrote this a year ago, the assignment was on the Warsaw ghetto and remembering it 60 years later. the holocaust just always seems to fasinate me in every way, anyways.. here is my poem..nothing special Faded Dreams Their hopes and dreams soon faded away Alone and afraid a man walks through the streets A child is there, weary eyes and ghostly face They fixed barbed wire and broken glass at the top The man tried to stop the boy from his impossible fate The boy fell to the ground clutching the Star of David to his chest As the man looked up to face his fear He knew that the Nazi’s would never treat him equal The man knew that he had to try to keep alive He kept his faith in God above Trapped in the walls not much to see He walked alone, He was still afraid 60 years later we remember them still
